In October, multi-platinum Streamsound recording artist Kristian Bush of Sugarland and Goodwill Industries International announced their #GiveItAwaypartnership to encourage donations of used clothing and goods. To get in the holiday spirit and help kick off the new campaign, Bush and Goodwill are teaming up for a full-band concert and donation event, sponsored by KKBQ-FM “The New 93Q” in Houston, TX, to be held on Thursday, December 11 at the Big Texas Dancehall (South). Fans are encouraged to bring either an item or financial donation for FREE entry into the concert event, with all donations benefiting Goodwill Houston. The #GiveItAway campaign was sparked by Bush’s Top 30-and-climbing single, “Trailer Hitch,” which reminds us that we collect so many things that we don’t need and we can’t take it with us when we go… so why not “give it away”? The goal of the campaign is to raise awareness of Goodwill’s mission to transform lives through the power of creating jobs.
