Punjab approves Rs13.25b development schemes

LAHORE – The Punjab Government on Monday approved fourteen development schemes with an estimated cost of Rs 13259.249 million.

These schemes were approved in the 27th meeting of Provincial Development working Party of current fiscal year 2013-14 presided over by the Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman, Muhammad Irfan Elahi, said P&D Spokesman.

The approved development schemes included: Widening / Improvement of road from Pacca Qazi Wala to Madrissa at the cost of Rs. 455.750 million, Widening / Improvement of road from Chishtian-Haroonabad Road to Aslam Shaheed Chowk, at a cost of Rs. 274.816 million, Widening / Improvement of road from Qaimpur to Head Islam at the cost of Rs. 292.065 million, Widening / Improvement of road from Yazman to Adda Tail Wala at the cost of Rs. 248.431 million, all in Bahawalpur district. Other schemes approved included widening / Improvement of road from Khanpur to Zahir Pir, in R.Y. Khan district at the cost of Rs. 294.740 million
