In order to replace the traditional method of vaccination of newborn, the state health and family welfare department is all set to launch ??entavalent??vaccination in second half of January. The new vaccination will replace the traditional methods of vaccination with various injections to the new born just by a single vaccine. Various other states such as Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Gujarat along with some other neighboring states have launched this vaccination under the universal immunisation programme. The Punjab government has also provided training to medical officials to execute this programme. The health department has also received vaccine from the central government to further distribute at the district level.
