The screening of films that focus on the lives of LGBTQ community, will be followed by a panel discussion. Chinta Jerome, Chairperson, State Youth Commission will inaugurate the event.

“KASHISH @ Thiruvanthapuram is an amazing step ahead in sparking off dialogue on LGBTQ issues in campus and we congratulate the new group Queerythm for this initiative. The films we are screening are sure to offer a diverse perspective on LGBTQ lives through the lens of young and professional filmmakers. The event carries forward KASHISH's mission of awareness, acceptance and empowerment,” said Sridhar Rangayan, Festival Director, KASHISH MIQFF.

“We are sure that the event would mark a milestone for queer awareness among youngsters in the longer run and are thankful to KASHISH for facilitating the screening of films. This would sensitize the society about LGBTIQ issues, besides also encouraging a safe and queer friendly campus,” said Prijith P K, secretary of Queerythm.
