Like every year, the Osho Ashram in Pune organises a Monsoon Festival at the Osho International Meditation Resort (OIMR). People from India and all around the globe participate in this 5-day festival usually held from August 11-15. Meditators indulge in a wide range of Osho's meditation techniques practiced throughout the day followed by joyous nights filled with music, dancing and painting. The event also hosted a food fest which included cuisines from all over the world.

The various meditation techniques offer assorted ways to move beyond whatever obstructs us – stress, fear, anxiety, impatience, lack of self-love and trust, etc – into simply being.

As reported by The Indian Express, noted personalities like flutist Melinda Date and satirist Chintan Katti performed at the event.

The festival kick-started on Saturday with performances by flutist Bikramjit Singh and artistes Mahesh Vinayakram and Aparna Gandhi, a renowned Odissi dancer.

The meditation resort also reported on the celebratory events occurring inside the OIMR .

"Last night in the OIMR the stillness was shattered by the sounds of sticks clicking and people laughing and celebrating to the soft launch of the OSHO Monsoon Festival with Stick Dance. Music, dance and celebration of all things Osho. People arriving from around the world including tours from Italy and Israel. And spotted among the many guests were people from France, Germany, the UK, Syria and Iran to name but a few," reported OIMR's Facebook page.

Famed Indian Idol vocalist Bhavya Pandit also performed on August 12

"And the early birds went to Silent Sitting or participated in Tai Chi class, then on to the Welcome Hour introduction, or they joined in the first day of the OSHO Mystic Rose or the Emotional Release course. And for others sitting with a loved one while a peacock strolled by. Heaven," read another post dated August 13. This was followed by a performance by a Mumbai-based band Aankh Micholi, who entertained the crowd.

On August 14, the crowd witnessed a breath-taking performance by violinist Avinash Jagtap.

The festival was concluded on August 15th by artists Rekha Bhardwaj and Vishal Bhardwaj, followed by performance by Urja, a group of musicians led by sitarist Chintan Katti. They have performed previously in music festivals like Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, Sanskriti Festival and Triveni Music Festival, as reported by The Indian Express.

"And last night Azizon Ki Toli [Group of loving friends] along with internationally acclaimed Vishal and Rekha Bhardwaj rocked the OIMR audience. First Rekha set the hearts on fire with her most beautiful renderings of her most super hit Bollywood songs. A songfest, lovefest of the highest order. Vishal surprised the audience with his offerings of poetry and voice. Both artists shared their love of Osho and the space he created here, touching the hearts of everyone present," read a post on OIMR's Facebook page.

Surrounded by soothing music, peace and calmness, meditators at the Monsoon Festival surely had a time of their lives.
