Jack Johnson recently announced the 2014 All At Once Sustainability Award Winners. Winners were chosen based on excellent existing greening practices as well as improvements and sustainability efforts made leading up to every show on Jack’s world tour. From Jack’s website: “The recipients of the All At Once Sustainability Award in the “Green Leader” category, for ongoing excellence in waste reduction and sustainability measures, are the Santa Barbara Bowl in California (Nederlander) and the Merriweather Post Pavilion in Maryland (IMP Presents). As part of Jack’s 2014 shows, the Santa Barbara Bowl launched the innovative new #MyCupAndMe initiative to reduce single-use disposable plastics. Additionally, the Bowl recently implemented an on-site waste sorting and management program and bike valet at every one of their shows. The Merriweather Post Pavilion has a fully integrated composting system on site as well as a solar-panels and a biodiesel fueling station with a pump for tour buses.
