An animated book series on Indian war heroes will be adapted for the small screen, according to its authors Major General G D Bakshi and his son Aditya Bakshi.

“War Heroes Of India”, which was earlier published as a series of graphic novels and comic books, will be made into an animated series of 52 episodes, each with a duration of 22 minutes, Major General Bakshi said.

Every episode will be dedicated to an inspiring story of Indian heroes like Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who sacrificed his life in the Mumbai 26/11 attacks, and many other bravehearts like him, he said.

Over 400 real life stories have been researched by its authors Major General Bakshi and his son Aditya Bakshi. The animated TV series has been planned for an all India release with Hindi as the key language, while it would also be dubbed in regional languages.
